Ok now I have to get an absentee ballot. If they are going to put an anti-gay amendment on the November vote I need to vote against it. It's bad enough with that idiotic conceal and Carry law but the rampant homophobia is disgusting.

A TMI post

Less than two weeks until Pesach and I'm in that panic of how can I get everything clean and kashered for it. I'm way ahead of schedule but there are so many things to move and sanitize. Of course the SLP folks that claim that my greasy counters represent a health risk (for whom? Were they going to sequester my apartment as a hospital room?) are helping with the panic. Tonight I'm going to have to get down on my hands and knees and scrub around the corners. Those are some of the worst dust and dirt catchers.

There's also the first seder to worry about. I have two invites for second seder (so maybe I can get one of them to let me know if they have a first seder as well) but none for first seder so far. I want to go to the Gavzys but they always overbook. But that seder always looks like a blast. They go until 2 in the morning and everyone is drunk by midnight.

However to get a jump on Pesach I was having some seriously painful shits this morning. Pesach can make your craps feel like your passing large boulders through your colon. No chametz. No rice. No regularity. Of course eating lots of protein isn't helpful either. So how the fuck do the Atkins people do it without bleeding out their asses? I'm sure it all pops out fast in the no carb diet but that hurts. Yesterday I didn't eat until I got home. I just drank water all day. I should have brought oranges to work. I didn't. Nor did I bring a check book. I got home and had oatmeal and then around midnight (yeah I know it's defeating the purpose of eating less to eat right before you go to sleep - I never claimed to be smart) I had tortillas and cheese. I watched the end of Campfire Stories - cool to see the Misfits in the evil bar but the shock ending was merely them going to a bar and seeing all the people in the stories who gang up on them. And Glen Danzig had left the Misfits. Water, tortillas and cheese, oatmeal, two cans of coke - this should not put me on the toilet for hours. As the old family saying goes "it just went right through me."

I promise not to discuss this again. Honest.

60 prominant Palestinians (don't know who - heard it on the radio) took out and ad urging Palestinians not to retaliate in the wake of Sheik Yassin's execution. I'm just thinking about how they would never dare do something like this under other circumstances. And the mother of the 14-year old boy caught with explosives is expressing outrage at the assholes that talked him into it. I can't say with any certainty that other mothers of suicide bombers (sorry to some of you - I know debxena was urging everyone to call them homicide bombers but I think the homicide part is in the "bomber" part of the name. It's redundant. Suicide bomber gives a more complete picture - Amalek hating Jews to the point where self-preservation is secondary and useless - besides that doesn't bother me as the way that propagandists call the execution of militants "assassinating activists" as if Black September organized clothing drives and lobbied for better day care but that was just overshadowed by their decision to murder the 1972 Israeli Olympic team) aren't angry. Yes, I know when the cameras are turned on them they say that they are proud of their suicide bomber idiots, but how much of that is to get a good pension from Hamas. And how much of it is exaggerated to make good copy for both Arab (Keep on fighting brothers) and Israeli (see - told you these people were a bunch of psychopaths) propagandists.

I'm sure that there have to be a few more mothers left behind that want to say "my son was a fucking idiot but Hamas representatives live next door so I can't say that on the record."

Either way I don't think those 60 Palestinians would be signing any newspaper ad that says "Please don't kill Israelis" with Sheik Yassin alive. For me nothing has proven that Sheik Yassin was the metaphorical balls of the Hamas and with his death that organization is castrated - and not like my cats that laid around for a week and then went crazy again - or maybe like my cats. Ok forget about my cats. I just liked my castrating the Hamas metaphor but now I'm thinking of how Socrates still runs around screaming (and I had to take a Q-tip to his ear because it was filthy) long after I had him fixed maybe that doesn't work.

But yes, non-Hamas Palestinians are contradicting the Hamas party line openly without Yassin. Israel did the right thing.
