Court

4 hours. 4 hours to wait. Ok actually 2 hours of waiting and hoping that the lawyer would not show up and then another hour - ok that's not adding up.

Basically I got there at 9. Court opened at 9:30. I waited (highly caffeinated no less) until 11. The lawyer for the landlord came. I worked out a $2000/month until August deal (and this requires me to be fully employed with a roommate until August at least - I won't even think about it going wrong) and then waited another hour for him to draw up the papers. Basically I pay extra until August and if I don't pay, my next time in court won't be nearly so relaxing (that's sarcasm)

Ok. Back to work.

BTW - reading Milton. Marvelous. I can see the basis for the debate over whether he meant Satan to be the hero of Paradise Lost. Certainly Uriel is a moron.

Whew

Gay Marriage Ban goes down

Republican zealots vow to remain homophobic assholes. (well except for those that voted against it)

Maybe I should just designate a day. I know that [livejournal.com profile] the_never designates Wednesday for the Hulk. So decapitation Wednesday (or Thursday?), but only Judith.

Sacred???

Dear Mr. Lieder:

Thank you for writing to share with me your thoughts regarding the proposed marriage amendment to the Constitution. I have heard from many New Yorkers on this subject and, as always, welcome the comments of my constituents.

I do not support amending the Constitution to address this issue. The Constitution is a sacred document and should not be used to divide the American people. Please be assured that I am monitoring this situation very carefully.

Again, thank you for taking the time to write. Please check my website at http://clinton.senate.gov for updates on this and other important issues being debated before the United States Senate.

Sincerely yours,

Hillary Rodham Clinton
The Constitution is a sacred document? Ok. I never quite saw the smiting Amendments but I'm sure they are in there.
