Random Shit that I would have just put on Facebook if the fucking algorithm didn't fuck me
I don't think I'm going to like The Kitchen purely on the basis of the first minute when the soundtrack is playing "This is a Man's World" - FUCKING retire that song Hollywood. It's as boring a cliche as the Every Man has Two Wolves story (told by Chief Hacky Hacky Scriptwriter). The song isn't even being sung by James Brown. It's always a cover.
Seriously sick of GRRM and his never arriving book. I even clicked on a video with Winds of Winter news but it was just the damn blog where again he teased the publication but then went nope, I'm probably not. Five years ago I was sympathetic to the "I don't want to make promises. You're all a bunch of assholes" talk. Now it's just tedious. He's been working on the fucking book for 10 years and he's still going "I've got hundreds of pages to go". Pinch it off dude.
I didn't give a shit about the last Dangerous Visions (I read one of the original Dangerous Visions and that Piers Anthony story is creepy as hell) but I do remember wishing that Historical Illuminatus could fucking get a fourth book promised in the third book.
I joined Robinhood and Public. They both have weird rules. I am actually a little grateful that Robinhood didn't let me buy Crypto. Public just doesn't let you buy anything until the money is in. I dutifully bought AMC and NAKD for the lulz, but I also bought other stocks. Nice that they don't make you buy the whole damn thing. But of course, I really can't afford to play this too long.
Also Robinhood not only had rules against fucking over the hedgefunds, but they also don't let you day trade. Meaning you buy and sell from the same stock more than three times in the same day and you get on the shit list. Seriously how else am I supposed to make money on NAKD. That's a very shitty stock. Even if the reddit bros drive it up, they can't drive it up that much. So buying it when it's under $1 and selling it when it's $1.20 and repeating the process as the thing spirals is great.
Finished a story but now I have to revise it until the deadline for the anthology. The anthology theme is 1986. I originally had it as a story about a girl watching Punky Brewster Challenger episode while her mom kills her dad. That episode was titled "Accidents Happen."
I might put it in present tense. Basically Chip Delany mentioned that present tenses sounds like a traumatized child and since the story is about a traumatized child, it might work better that way.
But now the Punky Brewster scene at the beginning doesn't really work. I might just start it with her staying with her aunt and her mother in jail.
- I bought a cabinet. I put the cabinet together. I don't know where to put it. I bought it to replace the cabinet under the television because the drawers on that cabinet are broken. Only the new cabinet is not as big or as sturdy. It's on legs. I can see the cat jumping on it and sending everything to the ground. The cabinet under the television is a shit cabinet but it's a great television stand.
Maybe I'll put it in the kitchen. I can move the plastic boxes and use the cabinet instead. Put the cookbooks int he bottom drawer.
