Obesity

The World Health Organization has declared Obesity to be a major health problem for the last 25 years. Somehow I just can't bring myself to care. I got enough problems trying to get rid of this 30 pounds. 3 billion regular and 300,000 clinical cases.

This is one of those things like McDonald's case. Personally I blame all those "free to be you" propagandists. They were so worried about teenage girls starving themselves to death that they convinced the rest of us that none of us should care about looking like big fat idiots. And granted, those eating disorder groups - where everyone gathers around to congratulate each other on puking out a salad - are pretty fucking creepy. But now that Naomi Wolf no longer sells books, isn't it time everyone welcomes all those weight loss plans back as saviors from cholesteral rather than the jackbooted thugs of the "new Holocaust?"

Either way I doubt there'll be much obesity problems in the next 5 years. Not with this fucking Atkins diet so popular. All the Atkins piggies will explode their hearts and that will cut down on obesity immensely - especially with all the pall bearers that have to carry their Atkins-enlarged corpses into the graves.

Actually I was trying to say something along the lines of WHO really has to stop taking itself so seriously considering that obesity is a much easier condition to avoid (no really people it is - put down the pizza) than that other condition which afflicted many and still afflicts many - celebrity records geared towards feeding starving Africans. With all the famine, starvation and godawful songs like "We are the World" and "Do they Know it's Xmas" (a song that tried to make British people feel bad for celebrating Xmas - which I can get behind but not because of all the starving Africans - well in 1980s Britain there were still colonial bureaucrats running around that shared part of the responsibility for the shitty political state of Africa - although by this time the United States was a big pusher of crappy dictatorship)

Anyhow why should anyone care that a bunch of fatasses can't stop the eating? It's not like someone screwing with their water supply so their entire village is dying of dysentry. It's a bunch of folks over the age of 12 that still think fast food is good food.
