quick - give me a crash course in New York tenant laws

I sent the rent check directly to the management company. The management company contacted the guy I'm subletting from. The guy is now calling me and saying that it was a violation of the lease and that he's going to lose the lease and I'm giong to lose the place. Of course I'm thinking of getting out of there in two months regardless but this is a bit sudden. I know I can fight that, just how.

And is this common in New York landlord-tenant relations?

Very twisted thought

I took my last Calculus Final in 1991. Afterwards I saw Silence of the Lambs. It was the perfect movie for that kind of stress. Tonight I'm planning on going to a sneak of Blade III, although movie tickets were ads in The Village Voice so I'm thinking that i might not get in. That would ease my stress.

The thing I think about sometimes is the fact that I was good at Math. I could get into a groove where I understood things that no one else could get, and actually working out the problems was kind of exciting. Especially when you get to the end and everything checks out. I also liked Logic syllogisms. I stopped because as much i liked it, overall I found it boring.

Sometimes I'm tempted to buy a Calculus book and start working out math problems again.

For absolutely no reason except for the fact that I miss it.

That's my confession for today.
