The stories about Woody Allen being really creepy around Dylan - putting his head in her lap and making her suck his thumb - are disturbing. The problem is that they come from Farrow's relatives so they also could be manufactured in order to bolster the molestation claim (obviously they bolster the claim if they are true).

That's the one part that I want to know more about. Not that it matters in my life, but it's just one of those pop culture things where I don't want to hate him like I hate Roman Polanski. Hell, I spent a lot of time making rather horrible defenses of Polanski on the basis that a lot of people lose their virginity when they are teenagers. In fact, I still don't have a problem with the guy who played Elmo having sex with sixteen year old boys because that's the age of consent in most states. Of course, I then read the transcripts about the rape and they were horrific.

I get that one of the main deals with rape culture is the unwillingness to believe a rape victim when she (or he) says that it happened. On the other hand, an assertion that it happened without corroborating evidence is problematic and if there are reasons to think that it didn't happen (good reasons like you get out of To Kill a Mockingbird and the history of lynching) it's not our duty to believe everything. And Mia Farrow does present quite an extenuating circumstance.

Then again why do I believe Soon-Yi when she said that Mia was an abusive mother? Does that gibe more with my experience (well I had an angry bipolar mother)

Would prefer it if people who were close the case could say whether or not Woody Allen acted creepy around Dylan - people who aren't directly related to Mia Farrow. I've been defending Woody Allen based on what I know and obviously I've had incomplete information. There is the nanny who testified on behalf of Allen (who also quit her job because she said that Farrow wanted her to lie for her). But are there maids, butlers, chefs, etc. who saw creepy behavior?
